Kas Williams 

Board President

Kas Williams serves as the Associate Vice President for Mission Integration and Institutional Diversity at Misericordia University. Williams joined the Misericordia University community in 2021.

Prior to joining Misericordia, she spent several years at South Dakota State University, where she held the position of Chief Diversity Officer. Williams holds a Bachelor of Arts in Criminal Justice from Southeastern Louisiana University and a Master of Arts in Student Affairs Administration from South Dakota State University.

Williams looks at diversity, inclusion, equity, and access through what she calls an equity lens. She encourages everyone to embrace their own uniqueness as diversity.

We must think more broadly and globally as we navigate conversations around DEI. Simply treating everyone kindly and fairly should be an everyday practice. Being kind and equitable doesn’t take away anything; it adds to who and what we are as a universal family.
